All competitors have to be selected by BDLA and then their selection sanctioned by the  British Weight Lifters Association ( BWLA) to represent Great Britain at competitions.

All competitors need to be fully paid members of their National Sports Development Organisation and a fully paid member of BWLA.

Membership for BWLA runs from January to January. You need to bring your membership card to British based competitions plus if you are classified your IPC Passport.

Your IPC passport needs to go to all international competitions

The Egyptian competition has been postponed until the end of May or the  beginning of June
