I am 26 years old and I have been powerlifting since 1997. I first got into powerlifting by watching it at the Atlanta Paralympics. I attended a junior games at Stoke Mandeville and first had a go at  powerlifting there.

In my first year I attended the World Wheelchair games at Stoke Mandeville, where I won the gold medal. I have competed at a further two World Wheelchair games since.

I have been the British Champion and I have held the British Junior record of a 170kg.

I have also been fortunate to attend 3 European Championships and 1 World Championship.

Doing powerlifting has also enabled me to visit many interesting places, I recently competed in France

My ambition in powerlifting is to take part in the Paralympics and to continue to improve on my personal best.
