TASS Athlete Responsibilities
· Lifters must be a member of BWLA and are not in dispute with it or any other member organisation. · Lifters must have or be eligible to hold an IPC Lifters Passport. · Lifters must be eligible to compete for Great Britain. Lifters must have competed and registered lifts within the IPC British Powerlifting Championship. · Lifters must have achieved the Bursary or Scholarship criteria and be a minimum of Bursary - 16 years of age as at 1st September 2004. Scholarship - 18 years of age as at 1st September 2004. · Lifters must attend the IPC British Powerlifting Championships once in receipt of TASS. · Lifters must attend an assessment camp. · Lifters must have an appropriate training infrastructure and commit to an annual training/competition plan agreed by BWLA. Together with maintaining a training and competition log. · Lifters must maintain fitness throughout the duration of the agreed TASS. · Lifters must notify the regional consortia and BWLA of any changes to personal contact details and complete and return all requests for documentation within the time frames. · Lifters must be willing to undertake a Sports Medicine and Science assessment or profile. · Lifters must have agreed to positively co-operate with the BWLA Anti-Doping Control procedures and to complete the consent form to be tested at IPC competitions · Lifters on the scheme must demonstrate continual improvement.
